JUST WONDERING
Each tile is a speculative install sketch I ran for a real California or Gulf Coast refrigeration operator. None of these are quotes — they're back-of-napkin math from public facility data + the ReChill component BOM. The point isn't the exact number; it's that the same workbook produced all five in an afternoon. Click in to see the math.

Cold Room On A Pack →
Multi-zone walk-in · butcher cooler + cheese cave + chocolatier + deep freeze · runs a week off one Tesla pack
Same drivetrain that runs Marinovich's blast tunnel runs a 4-zone home walk-in: deep freeze + standard freeze + cooler + aging chamber, one salvaged Tesla pack, ~7 days off-grid. Includes the technical answer to "why isn't CO₂ already in fridges?" — the constraint stack and the path through it.
How to read the tiles
TRTon of Refrigeration = 12,000 BTU/hr of cooling. 1 TR ≈ 3.5 kW of heat removed. A walk-in cooler is ~5 TR; a big NH₃ plant is hundreds.
kW/TRelectrical input per ton of cooling output. Lower is better. Old NH₃ plants run at 2.5 kW/TR. ReChill variable-speed targets 1.5.
$/yrannual electric (installed TR × kW/TR × hours × $/kWh). 8,760 hr = 24/7. The whole equation is on each facility page.
paybackfleet capex ÷ annual savings. No financing, no NPV, no off-balance-sheet. Just $/yr in vs $/yr out.
How these were built. Every sketch uses the same input model: installed TR, refrigerant + charge, kW/TR estimate, utility tariff zone, fleet sizing against the ReChill C20 / C40 / Plaid product line. The math is in the open. If any operator on this list wants to give me real installed kW and a year of utility bills, the same model produces a tightened version with engineering confidence intervals.
